  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to Old Cutler Road in the Town

  3         of Cutler Bay; authorizing the expenditure of

  4         public funds for the alteration of Old Cutler

  5         Road; requiring the approval of the Department

  6         of State; providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9  

10         Section 1.  (1)  Notwithstanding any provision of

11  chapter 74-400, Laws of Florida, public funds may be used for

12  the alteration of Old Cutler Road, between Southwest 184th

13  Street and Southwest 216th Street, in the Town of Cutler Bay.

14  Such alteration may include the installation of sidewalks,

15  curbing, and landscaping in order to enhance pedestrian access

16  to the road.

17         (2)  Before any alteration is started, the Department

18  of State must be consulted and its official approval obtained.

19         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2007.
