1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to Hillsborough County;
3 authorizing the Division of Alcoholic Beverages
4 and Tobacco of the Department of Business and
5 Professional Regulation to issue an alcoholic
6 beverage license to Tampa Bay History Center,
7 Inc., for use within the Tampa Bay History
8 Center building and grounds; providing the
9 license may be used for special events only;
10 providing for payment of the license fee;
11 providing for sale of beverages for consumption
12 within the Tampa Bay History Center building
13 and grounds; providing for removal from the
14 premises of partially consumed, open
15 containers; providing for transfer of the
16 license; providing an effective date.

18 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

20 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law,
21 the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco of the
22 Department of Business and Professional Regulation is
23 authorized, upon application, to issue an alcoholic beverage
24 license in accordance with section 561.17, Florida Statutes,
25 to the Tampa Bay History Center, Inc., a corporation not for
26 profit (the "corporation") located in Hillsborough County, for
27 use by the corporation solely within the building known as the
28 Tampa Bay History Center and the adjoining grounds under lease
29 to the corporation (the "leased grounds") located at 801 St.
30 Pete Times Forum Drive in Tampa. The corporation shall pay the

1 applicable license fee provided in section 565.02, Florida
2 Statutes. The license may be used for special events only.
3 Section 2. Alcoholic beverages may be sold by the
4 corporation for consumption within the Tampa Bay History
5 Center and the leased grounds. The license issued pursuant to
6 this act shall not permit the sale of alcoholic beverages in
7 sealed containers for consumption outside the Tampa Bay
8 History Center or the leased grounds. Nothing in this act
9 shall prevent a purchaser of such alcoholic beverages from
10 removing an opened, partially consumed container of alcoholic
11 beverage from the premises of the Tampa Bay History Center or
12 the leased grounds.
13 Section 3. The corporation may transfer the license
14 from time to time to qualified applicants who are either
15 authorized by or under contract with the corporation to
16 provide food services at the Tampa Bay History Center. Upon
17 termination of a transferee's authorization or contract, the
18 license shall automatically revert by operation of law to the
19 corporation.
20 Section 4. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
21 law.
