11  The Committee on Community Affairs (Haridopolos) recommended
12  the following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 7, lines 23-25, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         (6)  An application for initial issuance of a
19  certificate or registration shall submit to a statewide
20  criminal history records check through the Florida Department
21  of Law Enforcement. The Department of Business and
22  Professional Regulation shall submit the requests for the
23  criminal history records check to the Florida Department of
24  Law Enforcement for state processing, and the Florida
25  Department of Law Enforcement shall return the results to the
26  department to determine if the applicant meets certification
27  or registration requirements. If the applicant has been
