6 | Section 3. Subsection (10) of section 99.061, Florida |
7 | Statutes, is renumbered as subsection (11), and a new subsection |
8 | (10) is added to that section, to read: |
9 | 99.061 Method of qualifying for nomination or election to |
10 | federal, state, county, or district office.-- |
11 | (10) A candidate for the office of state senator or state |
12 | representative shall reside in the district represented by the |
13 | office sought at the time of qualifying. In a year of |
14 | apportionment, such candidates are required to reside in the |
15 | district represented by the office sought at time of election. |
16 | (11)(10) The Department of State may prescribe by rule |
17 | requirements for filing papers to qualify as a candidate under |
18 | this section. |
