11  The Committee on Education Facilities Appropriations (Geller)
12  recommended the following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 1, line 13,

17  insert:  
18         Section 1.  Paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of section
19  1013.735, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
20         1013.735  Classrooms for Kids Program.--
21         (1)  ALLOCATION.--The department shall allocate funds
22  appropriated for the Classrooms for Kids Program. It is the
23  intent of the Legislature that this program be administered as
24  nearly as practicable in the same manner as the capital outlay
25  program authorized under s. 9(a), Art. XII of the State
26  Constitution. Each district school board's share of the annual
27  appropriation for the Classrooms for Kids Program must be
28  calculated according to the following formula:
29         (a)  Sixty-five Twenty-five percent of the
30  appropriation shall be prorated to the districts based on each
31  district's percentage of K-12 base capital outlay full-time

 1  equivalent membership, and 25 65 percent shall be based on
 2  each district's percentage of K-12 growth capital outlay
 3  full-time equivalent membership as specified for the
 4  allocation of funds from the Public Education Capital Outlay
 5  and Debt Service Trust Fund by s. 1013.64(3).
