11  The Committee on Higher Education (Oelrich) recommended the
12  following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         Delete everything after the enacting clause
16  
17  and insert:  
18         Section 1.  Subsection (17) is added to section
19  1009.23, Florida Statutes, to read:
20         1009.23  Community college student fees.--
21         (17)  Each community college may assess a
22  transportation access fee for the purpose of improving access
23  to the community college for current and prospective students.
24  The service charge must be approved by the board of trustees
25  of the community college.
26         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2007.
