7 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

9 | Section 1. Subsection (2) of section 550.135, Florida |
10 | Statutes, is amended, and subsection (3) is added to that |
11 | section, to read: |
12 | 550.135 Division of moneys derived under this law.--All |
13 | moneys that are deposited with the Chief Financial Officer to |
14 | the credit of the Pari-mutuel Wagering Trust Fund shall be |
15 | distributed as follows: |
16 | (2) All unappropriated funds in excess of $1.5 million in |
17 | the Pari-mutuel Wagering Trust Fund, collected pursuant to this |
18 | chapter, shall be deposited with the Chief Financial Officer to |
19 | the credit of the General Revenue Fund. |
20 | (3) The slot machine license fee, the slot machine |
21 | occupational license fee, and the compulsive or addictive |
22 | gambling prevention program fee collected pursuant to ss. |
23 | 551.106, 551.107(2)(a)1., and 551.118 shall be used to fund the |
24 | direct and indirect operating expenses of the division's slot |
25 | machine regulation operations and to provide funding for the |
26 | relevant enforcement activities of the Department of Law |
27 | Enforcement in accordance with authorized appropriations. Funds |
28 | deposited into the Pari-mutuel Wagering Trust Fund pursuant to |
29 | ss. 551.106, 551.107(2)(a)1., and 551.118 shall be reserved in |
30 | the trust fund for the direct and indirect operating expenses of |
31 | slot machine regulation operations for the subsequent fiscal |
32 | year. Any unappropriated funds in excess of the division's slot |
33 | machine regulation appropriations for the subsequent fiscal year |
34 | shall be deposited with the Chief Financial Officer to the |
35 | credit of the General Revenue Fund. |
36 | Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. |
