A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to the Pari-mutuel Wagering Trust Fund;
3amending s. 550.135, F.S.; providing for the use of
4certain funds received from the regulation of slot machine
5facilities; requiring that unappropriated funds in excess
6of incurred obligations and funds necessary for cash flow
7in the subsequent year be deposited into the General
8Revenue Fund at the end of the fiscal year; providing an
9effective date.

11Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13     Section 1.  Subsection (2) of section 550.135, Florida
14Statutes, is amended, and subsection (3) is added to that
15section, to read:
16     550.135  Division of moneys derived under this law.--All
17moneys that are deposited with the Chief Financial Officer to
18the credit of the Pari-mutuel Wagering Trust Fund shall be
19distributed as follows:
20     (2)  All unappropriated funds in excess of $1.5 million in
21the Pari-mutuel Wagering Trust Fund, collected pursuant to this
22chapter, shall be deposited with the Chief Financial Officer to
23the credit of the General Revenue Fund.
24     (3)  The slot machine license fee, the slot machine
25occupational license fee, and the compulsive or addictive
26gambling prevention program fee collected pursuant to ss.
27551.106, 551.107(2)(a)1., and 551.118 shall be used to fund the
28direct and indirect operating expenses of the division's slot
29machine regulation operations and to provide funding for
30relevant enforcement activities in accordance with authorized
31appropriations. Funds deposited into the Pari-mutuel Wagering
32Trust Fund pursuant to ss. 551.106, 551.107(2)(a)1., and 551.118
33shall be reserved in the trust fund for slot machine regulation
34operations. On June 30, any unappropriated funds in excess of
35those necessary for incurred obligations and subsequent year
36cash flow for slot machine regulation operations shall be
37deposited with the Chief Financial Officer to the credit of the
38General Revenue Fund.
39     Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
