At the end of existing proviso language, following Specific
Appropriation 142, INSERT:
From the funds in Specific Appropriation 142, $125,000 from the General
Revenue Fund is provided for the department for a study to identify the
issues related to virtual education in Florida. The study must address
curriculum, academic standards, funding mechanisms, and fiscal
accountability. A report of the findings and recommendations shall be
provided to the President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of
Representatives by February 1, 2008.
