A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to the Town of Loxahatchee Groves, Palm
3Beach County; amending chapter 2006-328, Laws of Florida;
4revising the legal description for the Town of Loxahatchee
5Groves; revising the applicability of Palm Beach County
6ordinances within the Town of Loxahatchee Groves;
7providing an effective date.

9Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
10
11     Section 1.  Paragraph (a) of subsection (3) of section 1 of
12chapter 2006-328, Laws of Florida, is amended to read:
13     Section 1.  Charter; creation; form of government;
14boundaries and powers.--
15     (3)(a)  CORPORATE BOUNDARIES.--The corporate boundaries of
16the Town of Loxahatchee Groves shall be as described as follows:

18That portion of Loxahatchee Sub-Drainage District,
19Township 43 South, Range 41 East and Range 40 East,
20Palm Beach County, Florida, being more particularly
21described as follows:

23Beginning at the Northwest corner of Section Eighteen
24(18) in Township Forty-three (43) South, Range Forty-
25one (41) East, Palm Beach County, Florida, and run
26thence along the North line of Section Eighteen (18)
27and Seventeen (17) of said Township to the Northeast
28corner of Section Seventeen (17) in said Township and
29Range; thence run South along the Eastern boundary of
30Section Seventeen (17) to the Southeast corner of said

169     Section 2.  Subsection (5) of section 10 of chapter 2006-
170328, Laws of Florida, is amended to read:
171     Section 10.  Transition schedule.--
172     (5)  TRANSITIONAL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS.--All
173applicable county ordinances currently in place at the time of
174passage of the referendum, unless specifically referenced
175herein, shall remain in place until and unless rescinded by
176action of the town council, except that a county ordinance,
177rule, or regulation which is in conflict with an ordinance,
178rule, or regulation of the town shall not be effective to the
179extent of such conflict, except as otherwise provided by the
180Palm Beach County Charter, as may be amended from time to time.
181Variances shall not Any existing Palm Beach County ordinances,
182rules, and regulations as of October 12, 2006, shall not be
183altered, changed, rescinded, or added to, nor shall any variance
184be granted to any existing Palm Beach County ordinance, rule, or
185regulation in existence as of October 12, 2006, thereto insofar
186as such action would affect the town without the approval of the
187town council, except as authorized by the Palm Beach County
188Charter, as may be amended from time to time.
189     Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
