13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 15, between lines 12 and 13,
15  
16  and insert:  
17         Section 5.  Section 163.3229, Florida Statutes, is
18  amended to read:
19         163.3229  Duration of a development agreement and
20  relationship to local comprehensive plan.--The duration of a
21  development agreement shall not exceed 20 10 years. It may be
22  extended by mutual consent of the governing body and the
23  developer, subject to a public hearing in accordance with s.
24  163.3225. No development agreement shall be effective or be
25  implemented by a local government unless the local
26  government's comprehensive plan and plan amendments
27  implementing or related to the agreement are found in
28  compliance by the state land planning agency in accordance
29  with s. 163.3184, s. 163.3187, or s. 163.3189.
