1	House Resolution
2	A resolution designating Wednesday, March 28, 2007, as
3	"Drinking Water Day" in Florida.

5	WHEREAS, safe, potable water is a basic, essential need of
6	every person, and
7	WHEREAS, the good health, comfort, and standard of living
8	of Florida's residents depend largely upon an abundant supply of
9	safe drinking water, and
10	WHEREAS, the availability of sufficient amounts of potable
11	drinking water is a primary concern and a most important
12	responsibility of members of the Florida Section of the American
13	Water Works Association and Florida's municipalities and
14	counties, and
15	WHEREAS, a safe and ample supply of drinking water is
16	critical to the growth and sustainability of Florida's
17	municipalities and counties, NOW, THEREFORE,
18
19	Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
20	Florida:

22	That Wednesday, March 28, 2007, is designated as "Drinking
23	Water Day" in Florida.

25	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each citizen of Florida is
26	urged to become aware of the vital need for safe drinking water,
27	to take an active part in overseeing the state's water sources
28	and protecting them from pollution, to practice sound water
29	conservation, and to be actively involved in issues concerning
30	local water.
