| 8 | the team's athletic excellence and determination, and |
| 9 | WHEREAS, in this historic win, the Miami Heat earned the |
| 10 | first ever National Basketball Association Championship in the |
| 11 | history of the franchise and the State of Florida, and |
| 12 | WHEREAS, after losing the first two games of the National |
| 13 | Basketball Association Finals, the Miami Heat rallied to win |
| 14 | four games in a row, and |
| 15 | WHEREAS, during 11 seasons with the Miami Heat, Head Coach |
| 16 | Pat Riley has maintained a standard of excellence exemplified by |
| 17 | his seventh National Basketball Association championship, five |
| 18 | as a head coach, one as an assistant coach, and one as a player, |
| 19 | and |
| 20 | WHEREAS, under Head Coach Pat Reily and his coaching staff |
| 21 | the Miami Heat, including Dwyane Wade who was named Most |
| 22 | Valuable Player, and Derek Anderson, Shandon Anderson, Earl |
| 23 | Barron, Michael Doleac, Udonis Haslem, Jason Kapono, Alonzo |
| 24 | Mourning, Shaquille O'Neal, Gary Payton, James Posey, Wayne |
| 25 | Simiene, Antoine Walker, Jason Williams, and Dorell Wright, came |
