11 The Committee on Finance and Tax (Atwater) recommended the
12 following amendment:

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 1, line 23, through
16 page 2, line 30, delete those lines
17
18 and insert:
19 (b) Any portable self-powered radio, two-way radio, or
20 weatherband radio selling for $75 or less;
21 (c) Any tarpaulin or other flexible waterproof
22 sheeting selling for $50 or less;
23 (d) Any ground anchor system or tie-down kit selling
24 for $50 or less;
25 (e) Any gas or diesel fuel tank selling for $25 or
26 less;
27 (f) Any package of AAA-cell, AA-cell, C-cell, D-cell,
28 6-volt, or 9-volt batteries, excluding automobile and boat
29 batteries, selling for $30 or less;
30 (g) Any cell phone battery selling for $60 or less or
31 any cell phone charger selling for $40 or less;

1 (h) Any nonelectric food storage cooler selling for
2 $30 or less;
3 (i) Any portable generator used to provide light or
4 communications or preserve food in the event of a power outage
5 selling for $1,000 or less;
6 (j) Any storm shutter device selling for $200 or less.
7 As used in this paragraph, the term "storm shutter device"
8 means materials and products manufactured, rated, and marketed
9 specifically for the purpose of preventing window damage from
10 storms;
11 (k) Any carbon monoxide detector selling for $75 or
12 less;
13 (l) Any reusable ice selling for $10 or less; or
14 (m) Any single product consisting of two or more of
15 the items listed in paragraphs (a)-(l) selling for $75 or less
16
17 for a period of 12 consecutive days beginning annually on the
18 next-to-last Sunday in May.
19 (2) This section does not apply to sales within a
20 public lodging establishment as defined in s. 509.013(4),
21 within a theme park or entertainment complex as defined in s.
22 509.013(9), or within an airport as defined in s. 330.27.
23 (3) The Department of Revenue may adopt rules pursuant
24 to ss. 120.536(1) and 120.54 to administer this section.
25 (4) This section expires on May 18, 2008, unless
26 reviewed and reenacted by the Legislature on or before that
27 date.
28 Section 2. The sum of $289,100 is appropriated from
