8 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

10 | Section 1. Subsections (4) through (6) of section 14 of |
11 | section 2 of chapter 2000-401, Laws of Florida, are renumbered |
12 | as subsections (5) through (7), respectively, present subsection |
13 | (4) is amended, and a new subsection (4) is added to that |
14 | section, to read: |
15 | Section 14. Impact Fees.-- |
16 | (4) On November 7, 2006, the district's electors approved |
17 | a referendum authorizing the district to increase impact fees on |
18 | new construction. |
19 | (5)(4) No person or local governmental jurisdiction within |
20 | the district shall issue or obtain a building permit for a new |
21 | residential dwelling unit or a new non-residential structure |
22 | within the district, or issue or obtain construction-plan |
23 | approval for a new mobile home park development or a new |
24 | recreational or travel trailer park development located within |
25 | the district, until the applicant or developer thereof has paid |
26 | his or her applicable impact fee to the district according to a |
27 | schedule established by the board in accordance with chapter |
28 | 191, Florida Statutes as follows: for each new residential |
29 | dwelling unit, $100; for each new non-residential structure, |
30 | $200 up to 5,000 square feet and $200 plus $0.05 per square foot |
31 | for each square foot over 5,000 square feet for a structure |
32 | 5,000 square feet or over; for a new mobile home park |
33 | development or a new recreational or travel trailer park |
34 | development, $25 per lot or permitted space. |
35 | Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. |
