5 | a specified parcel and specified portions of rights-of-way |
6 | and to remedy the creation of an enclave; providing for |
7 | transfer of public roads and rights-of-way; providing for |
8 | certain powers over the annexed area; providing for |
9 | continuation of contracts in effect prior to annexation; |
10 | providing an effective date. |

12 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
13 |
|
14 | Section 1. The present corporate limits of the City of |
15 | Lauderhill, Broward County, are hereby contracted so as to |
16 | voluntarily deannex and exclude from the territory presently |
17 | within its corporate limits the area consisting of a commercial |
18 | parcel more commonly known as the Renaissance Evangelical |
19 | Baptist Tabernacle parking lot (Folio #504206010010), 3741 West |
20 | Broward Boulevard, together with a portion of the abutting |
21 | right-of-way on Broward Boulevard to be annexed into the City of |
22 | Plantation, particularly described as follows: |

24 | A portion of Broward Boulevard, lying in Section 6, |
25 | Township 50 South, Range 42 East, together with Lot |
26 | 'G', Lot 10 and the West 90 feet of Lot 11 in Block 2 |
27 | of BROWARD ESTATES, SECTION ONE, according to the Plat |
28 | thereof, recorded in Plat Book 33, Page 3, of the |
29 | Public Records of Broward County, Florida, being more |
30 | particularly described as follows: |

32 | BEGINNING at the intersection of the South line of |
33 | said Section 6 with the Southerly prolongation of the |
34 | centerline of N.W. 38th Way as shown on the plat of |
35 | BROWARD ESTATES Section 2, as recorded in Plat Book |
36 | 34, Page 19, Public Records of Broward County, |
37 | Florida, said point being on the municipal boundary of |
38 | the City of Plantation, established by Chapter 68-101, |
39 | Laws of Florida and the Municipal Boundary, City of |
40 | Lauderhill as established by Ordinance No. 050-11-209 |
41 | of the City of Lauderhill. |

53 | of Broward Boulevard to the Southeast corner of Tract |
54 | "E", as shown by BROWARD ESTATES Section 2; |

57 | to the Northeast corner of said Tract "E", said point |
58 | also being the Northwest corner of said Lot "G"; |

80 | as to voluntarily annex and include, in addition to the |
81 | territory presently within its corporate limits, the area |
82 | consisting of a portion of the right-of-way on N.W. 31st Avenue |
83 | from the City of Fort Lauderdale, particularly described as |
84 | follows: |

87 | East being more particularly described as follows: |

89 | BEGINNING at the intersection of the South right-of- |
90 | way line of NW 19 Street and the West right-of-way |
91 | line of NW 31 Avenue, said point being on the |
92 | municipal boundary of the City of Fort Lauderdale, as |
93 | established by Chapter 69-1057, Laws of Florida and on |
94 | the municipal boundary of the City of Lauderhill as |
95 | established by Ordinance 040-10-220 of the City of |
96 | Lauderhill; |

120 | the present corporate limits of the City of Lauderhill, Broward |
121 | County, are hereby contracted so as to deannex and exclude from |
122 | the territory presently within its corporate limits a small |
123 | portion of the right-of-way on Sunrise Boulevard that was |
124 | erroneously annexed into the City of Lauderhill, particularly |
125 | described as follows: |

128 | Section 6 of Township 50 South, Range 42 East being |

134 | corporate city limits of the City of Lauderhill as |

174 | Section 4. All public roads and the public rights-of-way |
175 | associated therewith, on the Broward County road system, lying |
176 | within the limits of the lands subject to annexation herein, are |
177 | transferred from Broward County jurisdiction to the jurisdiction |
178 | of the annexing municipality upon the effective date of the |
179 | annexation. |
180 | Section 5. On the effective date of this act, the annexing |
181 | municipality shall be responsible for and embodied with all |
182 | municipal powers granted in chapter 166, Florida Statutes, |
183 | including, but not limited to, police powers, over the territory |
184 | hereby annexed. |
185 | Section 6. Nothing in this act shall be construed to |
186 | affect or abrogate the rights of parties to any contracts, |
187 | including contracts between nongovernmental entities, which |
188 | contracts are in effect prior to the effective date of the |
189 | annexation. |
190 | Section 7. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. |
