11  The Committee on Banking and Insurance (Lawson) recommended
12  the following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 83, between lines 26 and 27,
16  
17  insert:  
18         Section 23.  For the 2007-2008 fiscal year, the
19  nonrecurring sum of $2 million is appropriated from the
20  General Revenue Fund to the Insurance Regulatory Trust Fund
21  for the purpose of providing grants to local law enforcement
22  agencies for the prevention and prosecution of automobile
23  insurance claims fraud. The Department of Financial Services
24  shall administer the grants and shall give priority to local
25  law enforcement agencies within regions of the state that have
26  the highest incidence of fraud related to the Florida Motor
27  Vehicle No-Fault Law.
