11  Senators Baker and Lynn moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 13, line 28, through
15            page 14, line 16, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         (d)  COUNTY OFFICERS.  
19         (1)  There shall be elected by the electors of each
20  county, for terms of four years, a sheriff, a tax collector, a
21  property appraiser, a supervisor of elections, and a clerk of
22  the circuit court; except, when provided by county charter or
23  special law approved by vote of the electors of the county,
24  any such county officer may be chosen in another manner
25  therein specified, or any such county office may be abolished
26  when all the duties of the office prescribed by general law
27  are transferred to another office.
28         (2)  There shall be elected by the electors of each
29  county, for terms of four years:
30         a.  A property appraiser; or
31         b.  A person responsible for the duties of a property
