13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 21, line 24, after the period,

16  insert:  Effective each January 1, the Department or Revenue
17  shall adjust the exemption provided under this paragraph by
18  the percentage change occurring during the previous 12 months
19  in the Annual Consumer Price Index as compiled by the United
20  States Department of Labor.
