The Committee on Health Policy (Saunders) recommended the

following substitute for amendment (851006):

     Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

     Delete everything after the enacting clause

6

and insert:

     Section 1.  Section 562.063, Florida Statutes, is created to

8

read:

     562.063 Awareness of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders.--

10

     (1) The Department of Health and the Department of Business

11

and Professional Regulation shall jointly develop an educational

12

pamphlet describing the continuum of fetal alcohol spectrum

13

disorders caused by maternal consumption of alcohol during

14

pregnancy.

15

     (2) As part of an application for an initial vendor

16

license, each applicant must affirm that he or she has reviewed

17

this educational pamphlet and agrees to review it with his or her

18

employees before selling alcoholic beverages at retail.

19

     (3) As part of an application for renewal of a vendor

20

license, each licensee shall affirm that he or she has again

21

reviewed the educational pamphlet with his or her employees in

22

conjunction with the renewal.

     Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2008.

licenses; providing an effective date.
