     Between lines 98 and 99 insert and renumber subsequent

sections:

          Section 2.  Subsection (21) of section 394.67, Florida

8

Statutes, is amended to read:

     394.67  Definitions.--As used in this part, the term:

10

     (21)  "Residential treatment center for children and

11

adolescents" means a 24-hour residential program, including a

12

therapeutic group home, which provides mental health services to

13

emotionally disturbed children or adolescents as defined in s.

14

394.492(5) or (6) and which is a private for-profit or not-for-

15

profit corporation licensed by the Agency for Health Care

16

Administration under contract with the department which offers a

17

variety of treatment modalities in a more restrictive setting.

insert:

amending s. 394.67, F.S.; removing an obsolete reference

25

to a corporation's contract with the Department of

26

Children and Families and adding a reference to a

corporation's licensure by the Agency for Health Care

28

Administration to the definition of residential treatment

29

center for children and adolescents;
