Section 3. Subsection (3) of section 381.0101, Florida
8
Statutes, is amended to read:

381.0101 Environmental health professionals.--
10
(3) CERTIFICATION REQUIRED.--No person shall perform
11
environmental health or sanitary evaluations in any primary
12
program area of environmental health without being certified by
13
the department as competent to perform such evaluations. The
14
requirements of this section shall not be mandatory for persons
15
performing inspections of public food service establishments
16
licensed under chapter 509 or for persons who have successfully
17
completed a department-approved soils morphology course and who
18
are working under the direct responsible charge of an engineer
19
licensed under chapter 471. Persons working under the direct
20
responsible charge of an engineer licensed under chapter 471
21
shall receive a minimum of 6 continuing education units of
22
department-approved training in soils morphology every two years.

providing continuing education requirements concerning

soils morphology for a person working under the direct
35
responsible charge of a licensed engineer;
