Appropriations (Hill) recommended the following amendment:

Delete everything after the enacting clause

and insert:

Section 1. Subsections (15) and (16) are added to section
8
311.125, Florida Statutes, to read:
9
311.125 Uniform Port Access Credential System.--
10
(15) The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
11
may accept a Transportation Security Administration's
12
Transportation Worker Identification Credential card in lieu of
13
the Uniform Port Access Credential Card required under this
14
section. For purposes of s. 311.12(3), state seaports shall
15
accept the criminal history and security threat assessment
16
conducted on individuals holding a valid Transportation Worker
17
Identification Credential card as sufficient to authorize
18
unescorted access to a seaport or restricted access area. The
19
department may set and collect a fee for entering a
20
Transportation Worker Identification Credential cardholder into
21
the Uniform Port Access Credential System. The fee may not exceed
22
the department's actual cost.

(16) This section expires July 1, 2009.

Section 2. Paragraph (b) of subsection (3) of section
25
943.053, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
26
943.053 Dissemination of criminal justice information;
27
fees.--

(b) The fee per record for criminal history information
30
provided pursuant to this subsection is $23 per name submitted,
31
except that the fee for vendors of the Department of Children and
32
Family Services, the Department of Juvenile Justice, and the
33
Department of Elderly Affairs shall be $8 for each name
34
submitted; the fee for a state criminal history provided for
35
application processing as required by law to be performed by the
36
Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services shall be $15 for
37
each name submitted; and the fee for requests under the National
38
Child Protection Act shall be $18 for each volunteer name
39
submitted. The state offices of the Public Defender may shall not
40
be assessed a fee for state Florida criminal history information
41
or wanted person information. The state seaports identified in s.
42
311.09 may not be assessed a fee for state criminal history
43
information provided pursuant to s. 311.12(3).

Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
