An act relating to the Uniform Port Access Credential

Card; amending s. 311.125, F.S.; authorizing the

Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to

5

designate the Transportation Security Administration's

6

Transportation Worker Identification Credential card as

7

the Uniform Port Access Credential Card; authorizing the

8

department to set and collect a fee; limiting the amount

9

of such fee; providing an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

     Section 1.  Subsection (15) is added to section 311.125,

14

Florida Statutes, to read:

     311.125  Uniform Port Access Credential System.--

16

     (15) Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, the

17

Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles may designate the

18

Transportation Security Administration's Transportation Worker

19

Identification Credential card as the Uniform Port Access

20

Credential Card. The department may set and collect a fee for

21

entering a Transportation Worker Identification Credential

22

cardholder into the Uniform Port Access Credential System. This

23

fee may not exceed the actual cost to the department.

     Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
