Section 20. Paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of section

366.91, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:

366.91 Renewable energy.--

(2) As used in this section, the term:
13
(b) "Renewable energy" means electrical, mechanical, or
14
thermal energy produced from a method that uses one or more of
15
the following fuels or energy sources: hydrogen produced from
16
sources other than fossil fuels or nuclear energy, solar energy,
17
geothermal energy, wind energy, ocean energy, waste heat,
18
hydroelectric power, and biomass. As used in this paragraph,
19
"biomass" means a power source that is comprised of combustible
20
residues, oils, or gases from forest products manufacturing,
21
agricultural and orchard crops, waste products from livestock
22
and poultry operations and food processing, urban wood waste,
23
biogenic municipal solid waste, municipal liquid waste treatment
24
operations, and landfill gas means electrical energy produced
25
from a method that uses one or more of the following fuels or
26
energy sources: hydrogen produced from sources other than fossil
27
fuels, biomass, solar energy, geothermal energy, wind energy,
28
ocean energy, and hydroelectric power. The term includes the
29
alternative energy resource, waste heat, from sulfuric acid
30
manufacturing operations.
