Section 1. Major Claude A. Gnann Memorial Highway

designated; Department of Transportation to erect suitable

markers.--

(1) The portion of State Road 44 in Lake County from County
44
Road 46A east to the county line is designated as the "Major
45
Claude A. Gnann Memorial Highway."

(2) The Department of Transportation is directed to erect
47
suitable markers designating the Major Claude A. Gnann Memorial
48
Highway as described in subsection (1).

Section 2. Deputy Wayne Koester Memorial Highway

designated; Department of Transportation to erect suitable

(1) The portion of State Road 44 in Lake County from County

Section 21. Section 589.19, Florida Statutes, is amended to
209
read:

589.19 Creation of certain state forests; naming of certain
211
state forests.--

(1) When the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement
213
Trust Fund, any state agency, or any agency created by state law,
214
authorized to accept reforestation lands in the name of the
215
state, approve the recommendations of the Division of Forestry in
216
reference to the acquisition of land and acquire such land, the
217
said board, state agency, or agency created by state law, may
218
formally designate and dedicate any area as a reforestation
219
project, or state forest, and where so designated and dedicated
220
such area shall be under the administration of the division which
221
shall be authorized to manage and administer said area according
222
to the purpose for which it was designated and dedicated.
223
(2) The first state forest acquired by the Board of
224
Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund in Baker County
225
is to be named the John M. Bethea State Forest. This is to honor
226
Mr. John M. Bethea who was Florida's fourth state forester and
227
whose distinguished career in state government spanned 46 years
228
and who is a native of Baker County.
229
(3) The state forest managed by the Division of Forestry in
230
Seminole County is to be named the Charles H. Bronson State
231
Forest to honor Charles H. Bronson, the tenth Commissioner of
232
Agriculture, for his distinguished contribution to this state's
233
agriculture and natural resources.

Section 22. Rolando Encinosa Road designated; Department of

Transportation to erect suitable markers.--

(1) That portion of SR 972/ SW 22nd Street between SW 22nd
237
Avenue and SW 24th Avenue in Miami-Dade County is designated as

"Rolando Encinosa Road."

(2) The Department of Transportation is directed to erect

suitable markers designating Rolando Encinosa Road as described

Section 23. Henry Levy Boulevard designated; Department of

designated as "Henri Levy Boulevard."

Miami All-American Parkway" by chapter 2003-298, Laws of Florida,

is redesignated as "All America Parkway."

(2) The Department of Transportation is directed to erect

suitable markers redesignating the South Miami All-American
266
Parkway as All America Parkway as described in section (1).

Section 26. Katherine Fernandez Rundle Avenue designated;

Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.--

(1) That portion of 12th Avenue between 8th Street S.W. and

64th Street N.W. in Miami-Dade County is designated as "Katherine

described in subsection (1).

Section 31. Notwithstanding any provision of chapter 74-8
307
400, Laws of Florida, public funds may be used for the alteration
308
of Old Cutler Road, between Southwest 136th Street and Southwest
309
184th Street, in the Village of Palmetto Bay.

(1) The alteration may include the installation of
311
sidewalks, curbing, and landscaping to enhance pedestrian access
312
to the road.
313
(2) The official approval of the project by the Department
314
of State must be obtained before any alteration is started.

Section 32. This act shall take effect July 1, 2008.
