An act relating to trust funds; creating the Indigent

Civil Defense Trust Fund within the Justice Administrative

Commission; providing for the purpose of the trust fund;

providing for future review and termination or re-creation

of the trust fund; providing an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

     Section 1. Indigent Civil Defense Trust Fund.--

     (1) The Indigent Civil Defense Trust Fund is created within

12

the Justice Administrative Commission. Moneys credited to the

13

trust fund shall be used for the purpose of funding the

14

activities of the offices of criminal conflict and civil regional

15

counsel as provided in s. 27.511, Florida Statutes.

     (2) In accordance with s. 19(f)(2), Art. III of the State

17

Constitution, the Indigent Civil Defense Trust Fund shall, unless

18

terminated sooner, be terminated on July 1, 2012. Before its

19

scheduled termination, the trust fund shall be reviewed as

20

provided in s. 215.3206(1) and (2), Florida Statutes.

     Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2008.
