Senator Bennett moved the following amendment:

     Section 25. The Office of Program Policy Analysis and

8

Government Accountability (OPPAGA) shall conduct a study to

9

determine the feasibility of using independent, baccalaureate-

10

degree-granting institutions to participate in dual enrollment

11

programs with the public schools system of this state. The Study

12

shall determine the increased options for student choice, the

13

potential benefits of such a partnership, the role that such a

14

program could play in increasing baccalaureate degree

15

completions, and potential funding models that may save the state

16

revenue. Working with the Commission on Independent Education,

17

OPPAGA shall determine which institutions would be most likely to

18

assist the state in increasing the number and quality of college

19

graduates. The study shall be completed by November 14, 2008.
