Section 2. Section 2. Subsection (28), subsection (29)

of section 212.02, Florida Statutes, are amended to read:

212.02 Definitions.--The following terms and phrases when
9
used in this chapter have the meanings ascribed to them in this
10
section, except where the context clearly indicates a different
11
meaning:

(28) "Farmer" means a person who is directly engaged in the
13
business of producing crops, livestock, or other agricultural
14
commodities. The term includes, but is not limited to, horse
15
breeders, nurserymen, dairy farmers, poultry farmers, cattle
16
ranchers, apiarists, and persons raising fish.
17
(29) "Livestock" includes all animals of the equine,
18
bovine, or swine class, including goats, sheep, mules, horses,
19
hogs, cattle, ostriches, and other grazing animals raised for
20
commercial purposes. The term "livestock" shall also include fish
21
raised for commercial purposes.

An act relating to the tax exemptions; amending s. 212.08,

F.S., relating to the tax exemption for nonprofit

cooperative hospital laundries; requiring a member of a

nonprofit cooperative to immediately divest itself of

participation in the cooperative if it loses its nonprofit
34
status; providing that the provision of emergency services
35
to a nonmember business does not invalidate the
36
certificate of tax exemption; or cause such certificate to
37
be denied; repealing an exemption for fish breeding in s.
38
212.02(28), (29), Florida Statutes.
