Senator Crist moved the following amendment:

     Between line(s) 321 and 322,

insert:

     (c) Each toilet facility located on the premises of the

8

public food service establishment must be completely enclosed and

9

provided with a tight-fitting, self-closing door or have

10

entrances and exits constructed in such a manner as to ensure the

11

privacy of occupants. Such door may not be left open except

12

during cleaning or maintenance.

13

     (d) Toilet facilities that are used by patrons must be

14

situated so that a patron does not pass through food-preparation

15

or utensil-washing areas.

16

     (e) Toilet fixtures must be cleanable.

17

     (f) Toilet facilities, including rooms and fixtures, must

18

be kept clean and in good repair.

19

     (g) The floors must be made of a nonabsorbent material and

20

cleaned daily. The requirement that floors be made of a

21

nonabsorbent material applies only to public food service

22

establishments that are constructed or substantially remodeled on

23

or after July 1, 2008.

     (h) Receptacles must be provided for waste material and

25

such receptacles must contain a trash-can liner and must be

26

covered. Receptacles must be emptied as necessary to prevent

27

excessive accumulation of waste material.

     (i) A supply of hand-cleansing, antibacterial soap or

29

detergent must be available in each toilet facility, and running

30

water must be available at each hand-washing sink within a toilet

31

facility. A supply of sanitary towels or a hand-drying device

32

providing heated air must be located in each toilet facility.

Applicable to public food service establishments that are

34

constructed or substantially remodeled on or after July 1, 2008,

35

hot and cold running water must be available at each hand-washing

36

sink within a toilet facility, and hand-washing sinks that have

37

an automatic shut-off must run for a minimum of 20 seconds. Hand-

38

washing sinks, soap dispensers, hand-drying devices, and all

39

related fixtures must be kept clean and in good repair.

     (j) A supply of toilet tissue must be provided in each

41

toilet stall at all times.

     (k) Each toilet facility must be lighted and ventilated.

43

This requirement applies only to public food service

44

establishments that are constructed or substantially remodeled on

45

or after July 1, 2008.

     (l) A sign or poster that notifies food service employees

47

to wash their hands must be provided at each hand-washing sink

48

used by public food service employees and must be clearly visible

49

to the food service employees.

This section does not apply to restrooms in a public airport as

52

defined in s. 330.27 which are not located within a public food

53

service establishment.
