Section 4. Paragraph (a) of subsection (4) of section
8
944.607, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
9
944.607 Notification to Department of Law Enforcement of
10
information on sexual offenders.--
11
(4) A sexual offender, as described in this section, who
12
is under the supervision of the Department of Corrections but is
13
not incarcerated must register with the Department of
14
Corrections within 3 business days after sentencing for a
15
registerable offense and otherwise provide information as
16
required by this subsection.

(a) The sexual offender shall provide his or her name;
18
date of birth; social security number; race; sex; height;
19
weight; hair and eye color; tattoos or other identifying marks;
20
any electronic mail address and any instant message name
21
required to be provided pursuant to s. 943.0435(4)(d); home
22
telephone numbers, including any cellular telephone numbers; and
23
permanent or legal residence and address of temporary residence
24
within the state or out of state while the sexual offender is
25
under supervision in this state, including any rural route
26
address or post office box. The Department of Corrections shall
27
verify the address of each sexual offender in the manner
28
described in ss. 775.21 and 943.0435. The department shall
29
report to the Department of Law Enforcement any failure by a
30
sexual predator or sexual offender to comply with registration
31
requirements.

Section 5. Paragraph (a) of subsection (3) of section
33
985.481, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
34
985.481 Sexual offenders adjudicated delinquent;
35
notification upon release.--
36
(3)(a) The department must provide information regarding
37
any sexual offender who is being released after serving a period
38
of residential commitment under the department for any offense,
39
as follows:
40
1. The department must provide the sexual offender's name,
41
any change in the offender's name by reason of marriage or other
42
legal process, and any alias, if known; the correctional
43
facility from which the sexual offender is released; the sexual
44
offender's social security number, race, sex, date of birth,
45
height, weight, and hair and eye color; home telephone numbers,
46
including any cellular telephone numbers, date and county of
47
disposition and each crime for which there was a disposition; a
48
copy of the offender's fingerprints and a digitized photograph
49
taken within 60 days before release; the date of release of the
50
sexual offender; and the offender's intended residence address,
51
if known. The department shall notify the Department of Law
52
Enforcement if the sexual offender escapes, absconds, or dies.
53
If the sexual offender is in the custody of a private
54
correctional facility, the facility shall take the digitized
55
photograph of the sexual offender within 60 days before the
56
sexual offender's release and also place it in the sexual
57
offender's file. If the sexual offender is in the custody of a
58
local jail, the custodian of the local jail shall register the
59
offender within 3 business days after intake of the offender for
60
any reason and upon release, and shall notify the Department of
61
Law Enforcement of the sexual offender's release and provide to
62
the Department of Law Enforcement the information specified in
63
this subparagraph and any information specified in subparagraph
64
2. which the Department of Law Enforcement requests.

2. The department may provide any other information
66
considered necessary, including criminal and delinquency
67
records, when available.

Section 6. Paragraph (a) of subsection (4) of section
69
985.4815, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
70
985.4815 Notification to Department of Law Enforcement of
71
information on juvenile sexual offenders.--
72
(4) A sexual offender, as described in this section, who
73
is under the supervision of the department but who is not
74
committed must register with the department within 3 business
75
days after adjudication and disposition for a registrable
76
offense and otherwise provide information as required by this
77
subsection.

(a) The sexual offender shall provide his or her name;
79
date of birth; social security number; race; sex; height;
80
weight; hair and eye color; tattoos or other identifying marks;
81
and permanent or legal residence and address of temporary
82
residence within the state or out of state while the sexual
83
offender is in the care or custody or under the jurisdiction or
84
supervision of the department in this state, including any rural
85
route address or post office box, and the name and address of
86
each school attended; and home telephone number, including any
87
cellular telephone number. The department shall verify the
88
address of each sexual offender and shall report to the
89
Department of Law Enforcement any failure by a sexual offender
90
to comply with registration requirements.

is not incarcerated to provide a home telephone number and

any cellular telephone number to the department; amending

ss. 985.481 and 985.4815, F.S.; requiring that the

Department of Law Enforcement be notified of the home
109
telephone number and any cellular telephone number of a
110
juvenile sexual offender released after serving a period
111
of residential commitment; requiring a juvenile sexual
112
offender who is placed on supervision but not committed to
113
register his or her home telephone number and cellular
114
telephone number with the Department of Law Enforcement;
