An act relating to public construction; prohibiting a

county, municipality, or special district from owning or

operating an asphalt plant or concrete plant having an

5

independent mixer; providing an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

     Section 1. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, a

10

county, municipality, or special district may not own or operate

11

an asphalt plant or a portable or stationary concrete batch plant

12

that has an independent mixer.

     Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
