     On line 184, after the period,

insert:

In lieu of background screening, any contractor who does not

9

provide personal care or services to residents or have access to

10

resident funds or other personal property must sign in at the

11

reception desk or nurses station upon entering the building,

12

wear an identification badge provided by his or her employer or

13

by the nursing home facility, and sign out before leaving the

14

building. The nursing home facility shall maintain a log

15

containing the name of all contractors who enter the building

16

and the date and time of the visit.
