An act relating to trust funds; amending s. 288.1087,

F.S.; creating the Space and Aerospace Development

Infrastructure Enhancement Fund within the Office of

5

Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development; providing for

6

annual carryforward of funds; providing for future review

7

and termination or re-creation of the fund;

providing an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

     Section 1.  Subsection (9) is added to section 288.1087,

13

Florida Statutes, as created by Senate Bill ____, to read:

14

     288.1087  The Space and Aerospace Development Infrastructure

15

Enhancement Fund.--

16

     (9)(a) There is created within the Office of Tourism,

17

Trade, and Economic Development the Space and Aerospace

18

Development Infrastructure Enhancement Fund.

     (b) Notwithstanding the provisions of s. 216.301 and

20

pursuant to s. 216.315, any unexpended balance in the fund at the

21

end of a fiscal year shall remain in the fund and be available

22

for carrying out the purposes of the fund.

     Section 2. Pursuant to the provisions of s. 19(f)(2), Art.

24

III of the State Constitution, the Space and Aerospace

25

Development Infrastructure Enhancement Fund shall, unless

26

terminated sooner, be terminated on July 1, 2012. Before its

27

scheduled termination, the fund shall be reviewed as provided in

28

s. 215.3206(1) and (2), Florida Statutes.

     Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2008, if

30

Senate Bill ____ or similar legislation is adopted in the same

31

legislative session or an extension thereof and becomes law.
