Notwithstanding any provision of a franchise, after a licensee

9

has approved the sales and service facilities of a motor vehicle

10

dealer, the licensee may not require, by policy or standard, any

11

of its motor vehicle dealers to relocate, make any substantial

12

alterations to, or replace the dealer premises or facilities if

13

such actions would be unreasonable in light of current market and

14

economic conditions. A licensee and dealer may agree that the

15

dealer may occupy a sales and service facility, subject to the

16

dealer's agreement to construct new facilities or renovate the

17

current facilities within a reasonable time specified in the

18

agreement.
