An act relating to the Education Trust Fund; requiring

that certain moneys be transferred from the General

Revenue Fund to the Education Trust Fund; requiring that

the Department of Education distribute moneys in the

6

Education Trust Fund to district school boards for the

7

purpose of educating students enrolled in K-12 public

8

schools; providing an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

     Section 1. Education Trust Fund.--

     (1) Moneys deposited in the General Revenue Fund for the

14

purposes of education shall be transferred to the Education Trust

15

Fund.

     (2) The Department of Education shall distribute the moneys

17

in the Education Trust Fund to district school boards for the

18

purpose of educating students enrolled in the district's K-12

19

public schools.

     Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2008.
