The Committee on Finance and Tax (Haridopolos) recommended the

following amendment:

insert:

     Section 5.  Effective upon this act becoming a law and

8

applicable to charges for communications services incurred on or

9

after October 1, 2001, subsection (5) is added to section

10

202.125, Florida Statutes, to read:

11

     202.125  Sales of communications services; specified

12

exemptions.--

     (5) The sale of communications services to a pari-mutuel

14

permitholder licensed under chapter 550 is exempt from the taxes

15

imposed or administered pursuant to ss. 202.12 and 202.19 when

16

the communications services are used for the permitholder's

17

simulcasting and intertrack wagering activities.
