1Representative Needelman offered the following:
3     Amendment to Amendment (258803) (with title amendment)
4     Between lines 2799 and 2800, insert:
5     Section 24.  A study shall be conducted by a committee to
6determine the available processes and different retirement
7options for returning employees, as well as the benefits and
8negatives; constitutional issues; federal issues, including, but
9not limited to, ERSA and IRS; investment options; and the
10savings versus the costs of such options. The committee shall be
11comprised of five members. Three members shall be appointed by
12the Governor, one with knowledge of tax issues, one with
13knowledge of investment options, and one who is a large
14investment firm retirement expert. One member from the Division
15of Retirement shall be appointed by the division's director and
16one member from the Chief Financial Officer's office shall be
17appointed by the Chief Financial Officer. The committee shall
18report its findings to the Speaker of the House of
19Representatives and the President of the Senate by June 30,
202010. Members of the committee are not entitled to a salary for
21duties performed as a member of the committee, except that the
22members are entitled to reimbursement for per diem and travel
23expenses in accordance with s. 112.061, Florida Statutes.
