An act relating to Veterans' Day; requiring employers to

give honorably discharged veterans a paid holiday on

November 11 of each year; providing an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

     Section 1. Any person who employs a person who was

9

honorably discharged from any branch of the United States

10

military must allow such veteran to observe November 11 each year

11

as a paid holiday. If November 11 occurs on a Saturday or Sunday,

12

the date of the legally observed holiday shall be the paid

13

holiday.

     Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2008.
