     Section 3.  Paragraph (d) is added to subsection (2) of

section 627.551, Florida Statutes, to read:

     627.551  Group contracts and plans of self-insurance must

meet group requirements.--

     (2)  Subsection (1) does not apply to life insurance

11

policies or plans of self-insurance:

     (d) Insuring or providing benefits pursuant to s.

627.404(2)(b)8. or 9.
