1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to donated organs; creating s. 765.5225,
3	F.S.; prohibiting dispensing of a drug other than the
4	original specifically prescribed drug for
5	immunosuppressive therapy following an organ transplant
6	unless authorized to do so by the prescribing
7	practitioner; providing an effective date.

9	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11	Section 1.  Section 765.5225, Florida Statutes, is created
12	to read:
13	765.5225  Preservation of donated organs.--To promote the
14	maintenance of donated organs, a pharmacist may not dispense a
15	drug for immunosuppressive therapy following an organ transplant
16	other than the original specifically prescribed drug until the
17	pharmacist obtains written or oral authorization to do so from
18	the prescribing practitioner.
19	Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2008.
