     (a) Beginning with the 2009-2010 school year, each school

8

district shall provide eligible students within its boundaries

9

the option of participating in a virtual instruction program. The

10

purpose of the program is to make instruction available to

11

students using online and distance learning technology in the

12

nontraditional classroom. The program shall provide virtual

13

instruction to full-time students enrolled in full-time virtual

14

courses in kindergarten through grade 8 or in full-time or part-

15

time virtual courses in grades 9 through 12 as authorized in

16

paragraph (7)(c).
