2An act relating to the Uniform Port Access Credential
3Card; amending s. 311.125, F.S.; authorizing the
4Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to
5designate the United States Transportation Security
6Administration's Transportation Worker Identification
7Credential card as the Uniform Port Access Credential
8Card; authorizing the department to set and collect a fee;
9limiting the amount of such fee; providing rulemaking
10authority; authorizing an affidavit for criminal history
11checks; providing an effective date.

13Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

15     Section 1.  Subsection (15) is added to section 311.125,
16Florida Statutes, to read:
17     311.125  Uniform Port Access Credential System.--
18     (15)  Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, the
19Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles may designate
20the United States Transportation Security Administration's
21Transportation Worker Identification Credential card as the
22Uniform Port Access Credential Card. The department may set and
23collect a fee for entering a Transportation Worker
24Identification Credential cardholder into the Uniform Port
25Access Credential System. This fee may not exceed the actual
26cost to the department. The department is granted rulemaking
27authority to implement the provisions of this section. The
28department may develop an affidavit which may be required for
29criminal history checks pursuant to s. 311.12.
30     Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
