| 4 | Remove lines 1776-1792 and insert: |
| 5 | appropriate for compact, contiguous urban development within a |
| 6 | 10-year planning timeframe. Each pilot project community shall |
| 7 | also adopt comprehensive plan amendments that set forth criteria |
| 8 | for development of the urban placemaking areas that contain land |
| 9 | use and transportation strategies, including, but not limited |
| 10 | to, the community design elements set forth in paragraph (b). A |
| 11 | pilot project community shall undertake a process of public |
| 12 | engagement to coordinate community vision, citizen interest, and |
| 13 | development goals for developments within the urban placemaking |
| 14 | redevelopment areas. |
| 15 | 2. Each pilot project community may assign transportation |
| 16 | concurrency or trip generation credits and impact fee exemptions |
| 17 | or reductions and establish transportation concurrency |
| 18 | exceptions for developments that meet the adopted comprehensive |
| 19 | plan criteria for urban placemaking redevelopment areas. |
