Delete everything after the enacting clause

and insert:

Section 1. Subsection (3) is added to section 490.005,

Florida Statutes, to read:

490.005 Licensure by examination.--
10
(3)(a) The board shall close the application file of any
11
applicant who fails to pass the psychology licensure examination
12
and the Florida law and rules portion of the examination or who
13
fails to submit evidence of completion of the postdoctoral,
14
supervised experience within a timeframe no longer than 24
15
months.
16
(b) The board shall implement a procedure by which an
17
applicant may apply for an extension beyond the required
18
timeframe.

(c) An individual who completes the required postdoctoral
20
training residency may continue to practice under supervision if
21
she or he does so in a manner prescribed by the board by rule,
22
has a current application on file, and no final order of denial
23
has been issued.

Section 2. This act shall take effect January 1, 2009.

exceptions; authorizing persons who have completed

postdoctoral residency training to continue the practice
39
of psychology under certain circumstances; providing an
40
effective date.
