2	A resolution designating March 2-8, 2008, as "Patient
3	Safety Awareness Week" in Florida.

5	WHEREAS, Patient Safety Awareness Week is an educational
6	and awareness-building campaign for improving patient safety,
7	and
8	WHEREAS, Patient Safety Awareness Week is observed
9	nationally and in Florida on March 2-8, 2008, and
10	WHEREAS, the theme of the 2008 national and Florida Patient
11	Safety Awareness Week is "Patient Safety: A Road Taken
12	Together," and
13	WHEREAS, the Florida Patient Safety Corporation and
14	Florida's health care delivery system are committed to
15	partnering with patients and providers to continually improve
16	patient safety, and
17	WHEREAS, the Florida Patient Safety Corporation and
18	Florida's health care delivery system are engaged in a variety
19	of activities to enhance patient safety for Florida residents,
20	and
21	WHEREAS, the Florida Legislature seeks to improve the
22	quality and safety of health care and to reduce potential harm
23	to patients, NOW, THEREFORE,

25	Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
26	Florida:

28	That the Florida House of Representatives designates March
29	2-8, 2008, as "Patient Safety Awareness Week" in Florida in
30	recognition of patient safety to all Florida residents.
