| 2 | A resolution honoring Henn Rebane, Professional Engineer. |

| 4 | WHEREAS, after living nearly 5 years in a displaced persons |
| 5 | camp near Stuttgart, Germany, as a child and immigrating to |
| 6 | America with his Estonian family in 1950 and becoming a United |
| 7 | States citizen, Henn Rebane overcame adversity to successfully |
| 8 | graduate from St. Petersburg High School in 1951 and the Georgia |
| 9 | Institute of Technology in 1956 and obtain his Florida |
| 10 | Professional Engineering license in 1961, and |
| 11 | WHEREAS, Henn Rebane has made significant contributions to |
| 12 | the State of Florida and the nation's engineering community |
| 13 | through his career in both the public and private sectors, and |
| 14 | WHEREAS, Henn Rebane has been active in leadership roles in |
| 15 | many professional organizations that include serving as |
| 16 | President of the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers, |
| 17 | President of the Florida Engineering Society, President of the |
| 18 | National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, |
| 19 | Florida's National Director of the National Society of |
| 20 | Professional Engineers, and Chair of the Florida Board of |
| 21 | Professional Engineers, and |
| 22 | WHEREAS, he has also served with the American Institute of |
| 23 | Architects, with the Florida Engineers Management Corporation, |
| 24 | and on numerous civic boards and commissions in St. Petersburg, |
| 25 | NOW, THEREFORE, |

| 27 | Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of |
| 28 | Florida: |

| 30 | That the House of Representatives warmly congratulates Henn |
| 31 | Rebane for his many accomplishments as a citizen, a Professional |
| 32 | Engineer, and a civic volunteer and extends to him its gratitude |
| 33 | for his numerous contributions to the State of Florida. |
| 34 | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be |
| 35 | presented to Henn Rebane as a tangible token of the sentiments |
| 36 | expressed herein. |
