1	House Resolution
2	A resolution recognizing Eucario Bermudez for his
3	outstanding accomplishments and contributions for the
4	benefit of the Miami-Dade community.

6	WHEREAS, Eucario Bermudez, born in Tembio, Colombia, was a
7	founder of Colombian Radio in Miami, and
8	WHEREAS, Mr. Bermudez, a well-known community leader and
9	Colombian journalist, is a cofounder of CASA, the Colombian
10	American Service Association, and COLPAC, the Committee of
11	Colombo-American Action Politics, and
12	WHEREAS, Mr. Bermudez is a recipient of the keys to the
13	cities of Miami-Dade, Miami, Hialeah, Miami Beach, and Coral
14	Gables and a recipient of many international awards as well,
15	including a Premios Onda Award from Spain, and
16	WHEREAS, Mr. Bermudez is an active member of the Spanish
17	American League Against Discrimination and is the director of
18	"La Voz de la Comunidad" on Radio Klaridad, Klaridad-Caracol,
19	and Radio Caracol, and
20	WHEREAS, Mr. Bermudez is a member of the National
21	Association of Hispanic Broadcasters and COL Media, a former
22	statewide organization of Latin-American journalists, and
23	WHEREAS, Mr. Bermudez is a cofounder of the Asociación
24	Colombiana de Locutores y Comunicadores in the United States and
25	has served as the General Director of La Cadena Radial Caracol
26	in Colombia and Radio Caracol in Miami, NOW, THEREFORE,

28	Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
29	Florida:

31	That Eucario Bermudez is recognized for his hard work,
32	passionate motivation, and dedication to improving the rights
33	and comforts of his fellow members of the Miami-Dade community.
34	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
35	presented to Eucario Bermudez as a tangible token of the
36	sentiments expressed herein.
