The Committee on Banking and Insurance (Fasano) recommended the
following:
1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

3 Delete lines 21 - 39
4 and insert:
5 (a) To any individual who is 65 years of age or older, or
6 younger than 65 years of age and eligible for Medicare due to
7 having a disability or end-stage renal disease, and who resides
8 in this state, upon the request of the individual during the 6
9 month period beginning with the first month in which the
10 individual has attained 65 years of age, or is eligible for
11 Medicare due to having a disability or end-stage renal disease,
12 and is enrolled in Medicare Part part B.; or
13 (b) To any individual who is 65 years of age or older, or
14 younger than 65 years of age and eligible for Medicare due to
15 having a disability or end-stage renal disease, and is enrolled
16 in Medicare Part part B, who resides in this state, upon the
17 request of the individual during the 2-month period following
18 termination of coverage under a group health insurance policy.
19 (c) To any individual residing in this state who is younger
20 than 65 years of age, who is eligible for Medicare due to having
21 a disability or end-stage renal disease and otherwise eligible
22 under this subsection, who first enrolled in Medicare Part B
23 before July 1, 2009, and who requests the opportunity to enroll
24 in a Medicare supplement policy on or before January 1, 2010.

27 paragraph (a), or paragraph (b), or paragraph (c) may not
28 exclude benefits based on
