    2         An act relating to home-invasion robbery; amending s.
    3         812.135, F.S.; providing that if the victim of a home
    4         invasion robbery is an elderly person or disabled
    5         adult, the perpetrator commits a felony of the first
    6         degree; providing criminal penalties; amending s.
    7         921.0022, F.S.; adding the offense to the offense
    8         severity ranking chart of the Criminal Punishment
    9         Code; providing an effective date.

   11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   12         
   13         Section 1. Subsection (3) is added to section 812.135,
   14  Florida Statutes, to read:
   15         812.135 Home-invasion robbery.—
   16         (3)If the victim of a home-invasion robbery is an elderly
   17  person or disabled adult as defined in s. 825.101, the person
   18  commits a felony of the first degree, punishable as provided in
   19  s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.
   20         Section 2. Paragraph (i) of subsection (3) of section
   21  921.0022, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
